I recently visited Coldfair Green Primary School and had the pleasure of spending time with the students and staff. It’s always inspiring to see young people so eager to learn and engage with the world around them.

I recently visited Aldeburgh Primary School Avocet Academy and had the pleasure of taking part in their morning assembly. It was fantastic to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm from the students - so many brilliant questions.

Yesterday in Parliament, I spoke again about the SEND system - and how it remains far too adversarial for too many families. Parents shouldn’t have to fight for the support their children need.

It was such a pleasure to welcome pupils from Benhall St Mary's CofE Primary to Parliament this week - they were so enthusiastic, curious, and full of brilliant questions.

Great to visit Trimley St Martin Primary School recently to see the fantastic work staff are doing to support their pupils, and the all too familiar challenges that they are facing in relation to the SEND crisis.

This morning I’m launching my new report - SEND in Crisis. Since I was elected in July last year, I’ve been blown away by the scale of the SEND crisis here in Suffolk Coastal. Too many families are stuck in a broken SEND system - under strain, exhausted, and desperate for basic support.

Last week, I had a fantastic visit to Saxmundham Primary School. Like so many other schools across Suffolk Coastal, Saxmundham Primary is facing a SEND crisis that is pushing the school’s service to breaking point.

Last week I wrote to the Leader of Suffolk County Council and the Cabinet lead for Education to urge them to take urgent action to increase capacity for SEND provision within Suffolk.
