Visit to Saxmundham Primary School

Last week, I had a fantastic visit to Saxmundham Primary School. Like so many other schools across Suffolk Coastal, Saxmundham Primary is facing a SEND crisis that is pushing the school’s service to breaking point. We spoke in some detail about the challenges the school is facing, and my work to push the County Council to deliver more in-school provision, and additional SEND schools – including my campaign to open a new SEND school in the heart of Saxmundham.

I was really impressed by the Year 6 students' knowledge of what an MP is, and their keen interest in politics. I look forward to welcoming them to Parliament soon – the future is in great hands.
