Tomorrow is my Saxmundham Jobs Fair, where there’ll be a mix of local and national employers, training providers and support organisations, all ready to showcase opportunities across a range of sectors and for all levels of experience.

Great to be at the Felixstowe Jobs Fair on Friday, meeting employers, training providers and organisations all in one place.

I was pleased to welcome the Minister responsible for to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to Alde Valley academy for a tour and roundtable last week.

The High Sheriff is the King’s representative for law and order in the county, a role that dates back over a thousand years. Today, it plays an important part in celebrating the work of volunteers, community groups, charities, and those who go above and beyond to support Suffolk.

Today stage one of the The Tour Of Britain sets off from Woodbridge, travelling right through Suffolk Coastal - including Leiston, and Aldeburgh - before finishing in Southwold.

Just two weeks to go until the Langley Avenue Community Fun Day in Felixstowe, on Saturday 13th September, 13:30 - 16:30, and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic afternoon.

I was delighted to join The Art Station in Saxmundham for the opening of their new Insect Hotel.

Another busy constituency day today, ending with my advice surgery in Leiston. Good to meet with so many residents today, and my team and I are glad to try and help people with issues including housing, welfare, education and finally bus services.

I recently visited DAS East Suffolk (DASES), to learn more about the vital support they provide to disabled people and their families across our area.

I was pleased to visit the Maharishi Peace Palace recently – based in Rendlesham. It was a chance to learn more about the work that they do, and their history too.

Recently, I was joined by Becky from Newtide Homes in Woodbridge for some door knocking with my casework team on roads with a number of Newtide residents.

I'm hosting a Jobs Fair in Saxmundham on Thursday 2nd October, 14:00 - 16:00 - bringing together local employers, training providers, and support organisations to connect residents with new opportunities.

I recently visited Whitehouse Farm to see more about their diverse business – and to meet their turkeys (can confirm, baby turkeys are adorable….).

I recently visited Felixstowe Lifeboat to learn more about the incredible work this volunteer-led team does to keep people safe along our coastline.

I visited Sole Bay Men’s Shed ahead of their official opening recently to hear more about the brilliant work they’re doing and the difference it’s already making.

Another busy and fully booked surgery in Felixstowe yesterday with local Councillor Mike Deacon, supporting residents on a wide range of issues health and social care, ASB, banking hubs and much more.

Lovely to hold an advice surgery in sunny Reydon last night - lots of important things talked about, and lots for my team and I to do. Thank you to everyone who came in to chat, and for sharing some quite personal stories.

Just before summer recess, I launched my School Road Safety Petition - calling for a dedicated road safety plan for every primary school in Suffolk Coastal.
