Felixstowe Policing and Crime Roundtable

Last week, I brought together Suffolk Constabulary and local stakeholders for a roundtable on crime and policing in Felixstowe.

I then joined officers on a walkabout patrol - seeing first-hand the challenges they face and the work being done to keep Felixstowe safe.

Visible, community policing works. Over August, there was a 30% drop in ASB related crimes in our community, as a result of street policing. We talked about the recent raids carried out in Felixstowe by police with Trading Standards on shops selling counterfeit goods, or selling tobacco and vapes to underage children – great to see the action they’re taking to stop illegal activity in our high streets.
