Last week I invited Newtide Homes (part of Flagship) out with me and my casework team to join me door knocking in Felixstowe on a few roads where there are quite a few Newtide residents.

Out knocking on doors and talking to residents today in #Leiston - thanks to everyone who spoke to me and my volunteer team. We managed to finish just as the rain arrived - talk about good luck!

☕ This morning I held another coffee morning - this time in Yoxford. It was great to meet with nearly 50 residents, talking about what matters to them – Sizewell C, road safety, connectivity and rural issues in general.

Yesterday I was pleased to attend and speak at the Harwich Clean Energy & Maritime Summer Reception, bringing together maritime businesses, port users and energy leaders from across Harwich, Felixstowe and the wider eastern region.

Last week, Anglian Water discharged 41 HOURS of sewage into the River Deben, between the waterfront and Melton. As a result of the discharge, E.coli levels were 30 TIMES the recommended levels.

Last week, I met with residents in Thorpeness to discuss the urgent impact of coastal erosion, which has claimed 5 metres of coastline in just 6 weeks.

Last week I officially opened my new constituency office in Felixstowe - delivering on my commitment to make sure people across Suffolk Coastal can access help and be heard.

If a week is a long time in politics, a year is a lifetime. It’s been a journey, but always a privilege - to have the chance to represent the place that I love most.

I had a brilliant visit to Melton Primary School and Nursery yesterday, and spoke about the SEND issues the school is facing, and had a brilliant tour of the school - led by the excellent Student Council. Thanks for having me!

Out this morning in a very sunny Felixstowe, chatting to lots of residents about issues including SEND, roads and potholes, and a lot more besides. Lots of case work to follow up with, and lots of conversations I'll take back to parliament.

A lovely way to spend the morning on Suffolk Day - with residents in Bucklesham and Newbourne - talking about all the local, regional and national priorities that matter most to residents.

Today's Sizewell C announcement is the biggest investment in clean, carbon free energy in a generation. By 2050 our energy needs will be double what they are today, and we need nuclear to meet that demand - which is why it is an important part of our ambition for mixed energy economy.

This week we delivered the last of the 15,000 Suffolk Coastal magazines, giving an update on my work in parliament and in the constituency over the past few months.
