Autumn/Winter 2025 Magazine

My Autumn/Winter 2025 Magazine provides an update on my work across Suffolk Coastal and in Parliament, covering the key local issues I have been raising on behalf of residents. It includes updates on campaigns, constituency visits, local priorities and the progress being made on the issues that matter most to our communities.

Energy Newsletter

My Energy Newsletter sets out the work I am doing to stand up for Suffolk Coastal as our communities face the impact of major energy infrastructure projects.

I support the transition to clean, home-grown energy, but it must be delivered properly — with stronger coordination, better planning, meaningful community engagement and greater respect for our local environment. I will continue pushing Ministers and developers to ensure Suffolk Coastal is listened to and treated fairly.

SEND in Crisis Report

My SEND report brings together the experiences of 97 families across Suffolk Coastal, highlighting the serious challenges children, young people and parents are facing in accessing the support they need.

Since being elected, I have been raising these concerns with Suffolk County Council and in Parliament. We are already seeing some significant wins, with recommendations from the report being taken forward, but I will continue fighting for SEND families until every child can access the education, health and care support they deserve.

Spring 2025 Magazine

Since being elected, I have been working hard to stand up for Suffolk Coastal both locally and in Parliament. My first printed magazine from Spring 2025 shares an update on that work so far, including the key issues I have been raising for residents, local campaigns, constituency visits, and the challenges and opportunities facing our communities.

I hope it gives residents a useful overview of what I have been doing since being elected and how to stay in touch.

Labour Rural Research Group

Since being elected, I have been determined to make sure rural communities like ours are heard at the heart of Government.

That is why I founded the Labour Rural Research Group, which I now chair. The group brings together more than 40 Labour MPs representing rural and semi-rural communities across the country, with a shared mission to champion rural voices and ensure national policy reflects the realities of life in places like Suffolk Coastal.

For too long, rural communities have too often been treated as an afterthought — assumed to be prosperous, peripheral, or resistant to change. But we know the reality is far more complex. Rural poverty, poor transport links, weaker infrastructure, housing pressures, service withdrawal and digital exclusion all have a real impact on people’s lives.

Through research, evidence gathering and policy work, the Labour Rural Research Group is working to shine a light on these challenges and put forward practical solutions. Our aim is clear: to make sure rural Britain is not overlooked, and that communities across our villages, coastlines and market towns get the fair deal they deserve.
