Recently, following my amendment to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, I asked Minister Matthew Pennycook for an update on the Government’s position on requiring swift bricks in new housing developments.

The Housing Minister confirmed the Government's support - they are considering a “new suite of national policies for decision making to require swift bricks to be incorporated into new buildings unless there are compelling reasons that preclude their use or that would make them ineffective”.

A big thank you to all those who’ve backed this campaign, especially Suffolk Wildlife Trust and conservation voices here in Suffolk Coastal.
