📝 Last week, I joined nearly 60 Labour colleagues in writing to Richard Tice to challenge his plan to scrap green energy subsidies.
💡 This isn’t just about policy - it’s about protecting clean energy jobs, investment, and Britain’s transition to net zero. The green economy grew 10% in 2024 and now supports over 950,000 jobs nationwide - with many in places like Suffolk Coastal.
🌍 Cutting these subsidies would knock investor confidence and risk thousands of clean energy jobs - just as the country needs them most.
This letter makes the case loud and clear: Britain’s green future should be a national priority, not something pulled out from under us at the first hint of political change.
