A bit of a photo dump from the labour conference - things I did, people I spoke to, and things I spoke about.
Looking through the photos now, this hardly scratches the surface of it - it was really busy and a little relieved to be heading back to Suffolk today!
I spoke at about five events on rural issues, talking about the need to make sure rural areas like Suffolk coastal are heard and understood. Rural Britain plays a critical role in delivering the UK's economic ambitions, but for too long rural areas have been overlooked and lacking attention from central government. My colleagues and I are determined to make that change.
Secondly, I spoke at the maritime uk reception on the importance of ports and their critical role in delving the government’s industrial strategy. As chair of the APPG for ports, this topic has been an important part of my role in Westminster since my election last year.
I met with about 12 organisations and charities, each of them important to me or the work that I do in Suffolk Coastal - so a big thanks to those who took the time to see me.
Conference done, and glad to be heading home
