A beautiful and reflective walk this morning, on my way to the station. I'm traveling back to London for the Assisted Dying Bill's Report Stage debate - where we'll be debating and voting on amendments made at Committee stage.

We've still a while to go before we vote on the final Bill, where it will be decided if the Bill becomes law.

Last time we debated and voted on the broad principles of the Bill, and I voted in favour of it, and I remain in favour of it. I'll be listening to the debate today rather than contributing, as I know many others who have been involved in the journey of the Bill will want to speak to their amendments.

Today we won't be voting on passing the final bill and making it law, but rather voting on the amendments, and seeking to pass it through to the next stage.
