Out this morning in a very sunny Felixstowe, chatting to lots of residents about issues including SEND, roads and potholes, and a lot more besides. Lots of case work to follow up with, and lots of conversations I'll take back to parliament.

Today's Sizewell C announcement is the biggest investment in clean, carbon free energy in a generation. By 2050 our energy needs will be double what they are today, and we need nuclear to meet that demand - which is why it is an important part of our ambition for mixed energy economy.

A brilliant day at the Suffolk Show - celebrating everything that makes our County so special, from local food, farming and livestock, to crafts, rural businesses, military displays and so much more.

It was a real pleasure to visit A.S.Neill's Summerhill School - one of the most distinctive and historic schools in the UK.

It was great to visit Reydon Primary School and spend time with the team who are working so hard to support their pupils and the wider community.

This morning in the Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs Select Committee (EFRA), I questioned the Secretary of State at Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), Steve Reed MP, on the importance of securing a strong and sustainable future for British farming.

What else was agreed as part of the EU / UK trade deal yesterday? Its not the end of the road, but the beginning of a new relationship and key agreements made.

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Rebecca, who has just moved into her first home with her son, in Martlesham. Her home is a brilliant example of good quality, affordable housing, built to help local people either get on the housing ladder through shared ownership, or get an affordable home to rent through Hastoe Housing Association.
